Hi all,
Just before teh pandemic in 2019, my Ricoh GR1 fell during a wedding shoot and stopped working.
Now, I recently found a seemingly talented repair person who maintains a blog of a variety of cameras he repairs and has has many successful go's at repairing failed Ricoh GR1 cameras.
The catch is he's in Moscow and I have no idea how shipping from U.S. works to Russia works right now and also the fact there's an active war going on between Russia and Ukraine, etc.
This is the repair guys' blog:

Seems very capable and talented. Both with electronics PCB MFG and general repair work.
What are people's thoughts on this?

"At this time, all mail services to Russia are not available"
You will not be able to ship it in any easy way, and even of you could - payment and return shipping will be convoluted at best.

they repaired my Minolta TC1. I also considered that Russian guy, that was before the war, but somehow I felt better doing business with Taiwan.

I would love to get the LCD in my GR1 working again. Can the Taiwan folks do that?
