While at a local camera show I purchased 7 rolls of developed film that was still in the Kodak Aluminum film canisters. These were apparently some that the seller had acquired when purchasing cameras from other people for resale. I would like to share some of the better ones with you. I am also looking for people familiar with WWII images and cities in Europe to help ID some of the locations . A lot of them contain Military personnel but no combat. Who ever the photographer was , or camera owner; they new a little about the process because he was rolling his own from bulk. The first images are of his you wife , probably before he was sent to Europe.
I will post more every day or so , so stay tuned .

And if she's still alive today, she would be mortified to know these are on the internet....

Nick, here is another thread that I made with some found vintage images , was lucky enough to find the grand daughter of the people pictured and was able to return the negs with prints of all and a CD if the scans.

Nahh. She'd be showing them off. And thinking, "Gee, I was pretty hot!"

She's very pretty in a 1940's kinda way. There's not much in these yet to give a hint of location. Looking forward to seeing some more.

Hopefully some one will know where this town is . I'm trying to keep them in the order they were shot . But I'm not sure the of the order of the rolls . I been going by their age change if it can be noticed.

The black car is a '46 Ford, with a '55 Ford across the street. The latter shots look to be late '50s. Marilyn Monroe era. Texas?

The large building in the first "Europe" one looks vaguely French to me, and I'd suggest that the religious processions and so on suggest somewhere Roman Catholic. I'm pretty certain that I can see a Citroen 2CV in one, which makes it post-1948 and, I guess, increases the odds of it being France.
Do you have the pictures posted somewhere they can be seen without logging in, Tom? I can think of somewhere that might be able to guess the religious site, but I doubt it has many RFFers as members!
