Found film in New York

So - this guy found a recently shot roll of film in New York. Processed it (some good images) and is now trying to find the shooter to return the negatives.

I mention it here because in one of the final frames, it looks like it was a group of shooters and one of them had what appears to be rangefinder. Maybe a Canon IV of some sort. Hard to tell.

Any RFF'er recently take a trip to NY, take pictures of the blizzard, then lose a roll?

I see now that it was forwarded to me from a Tumblr account originating on the 17th. So it's older than I thought. Sorry for the repost.

But I don't see anything to indicate it's a scam. Do you have some evidence?
