I found this big boy at a recent camera show for $20. Cosmetics
are near mint, shutter working crisply, lens clean and tight.

But, the battery cover wouldn't budge so I figured there was
battery leakage. The camera had an old Canon RF filter on it
that I figured was nearly worth the price of the camera on its
own. Has a nice case too.

I got it home and pulled the top. There was leakage which some-
one had partly cleaned up but the meter still wouldn't work. A wire
connection at the back of the battery case had been eaten away
by the corrosion. I cleaned up that area and re-soldered it and
the meter came to life. Using alkaline batteries it gives about
1-2/3 stops over exposure. Since I mostly shoot B&W, a dark yellow
or orange filter should about compensate.

It's a hefty beast but I like heavier cameras. Seems to help combat
movement when using marginal shutter speeds. And, man, that lens
is something!

This is a great RF - all manual camera, RF focusing (that's also parrallax corrected), with an excellent Yashinon F1.4 lens. What more could you want?
