Four exposure modes, only one RF has them all

There is one rangefinder that can handle all four exposure modes. It's from 1966. It's a one of a kind in the true sense of the word I suppose. Read about it here.

Your last sentence is right: buy now. One of my favorite cameras has all four exposures (if you use Pentax 'A' and newer lenses). It is the Pentax P3n. And I do use all four, but I use shutter priority the least. The P3n is limited compared to the 7s by being DX only (no override), and 1/100 flash sync. If it was 6 years ago I'd buy one. I oped for Olympus 35RC which is a good little camera but I find I'm a little nervous about busting it.

Have you shot film in all four modes? I have a 7s (haven't used it in year though) and I think it was only fully auto or fully manual mode and doesn't have aperture priority or shutter priority. Just that both controls had to be set to A for full manual mode. The manual makes no mention of anything but full auto or manual mode.

I have the Himatic 9, sold my 7s years ago. I likewise love my p3n. The auto dx is a pain, but I only shoot b&w 100 speed so it's fine. And I love my rc. Sold my Rd and spn, kept the rc.

Yep. Just 2 that I'm aware of, unless you want to count the easy flash system as one.

The simple Canon EF-M SLR can operate in all four modes.

I've got the 7 (no S), and it has the same shutter and aperture system. Auto only works when both dials are aligned to A, there are no shutter or aperture priority modes. Fully Auto, or fully Manual is all you get, and meter readouts are in EV steps.

It's one camera I would either keep for myself, or give to someone looking to get into rangefinder photography.

My Minolta Hi-Matic 9 35mm rangefinder has all four exposure modes.

The Hexar has a shutter speed that tops out at 1/250 sec. Please...

4 exposure modes, instant override to any mode you want. Shutter speeds from 1/8000 sec to 16 seconds. Meter range from EV 1-20. Crazy good lens (at 28mm it matches up to my Leica 28 Asph)

But yes, it technically is not a rangefinder. So in that way it is like the Hexar.
