Viewfinders of that period generally have no framelines (these appeared first on auxiliary finders, and only made it into the mainstream from the Leica M and its competitors downwards). The finder edges are usually so tightly cropped (to around 60-75% of the image) that the margin will cover even the close-up parallax and size variation - that is, by design they are inaccurate in a way that can be compensated in enlarging/scanning.
