Frame Counter Will Not Increment / ASA values move

hi all

hope someone can help

i've just received my GSN and noticed upon loading my first roll today that the frame counter does not increment. stays b/t S & 1. is this super serious? should i be worried.

also the disc the asa values are printed on move when i turn the dial so i need to guess what iso im selecting. is this an easy fix.

any advice appreciated. i'm wating upon word from russ@camerarefurb, hopefully he can help me but was just anxious if anyone else here has had these issues.

Check the frame counter reset "button"

I replaced the seals today with the wonderful kit provided by Jon Goodman. Pre cut foam and excellent instructions!

In these instructions he mentions to keep the frame counter reset thing clear from foam and cover it with a separate piece later to keep it moving freely. It might be possible that yours is covered or in some other way obstructed.

You can find this "button" in the top groove about one inch from the right.
Its black in black so its hard to see...

I pushed the tab in, but it won't go all the way to zero....it stops at 24. Minor thing; everything else works.
