Frame preselector works with adaptor?

Hello!

I'm new in the M series. Could You support me with Your answer concerning this simple question?
Does the frame preselector function work if i use an M39 --> Leica M bajonette adaptor in my M6 TTL.

I got an M39 Hektor during the weekend and it looks like doesn't.

What i detected that my brand new M39-->M mount adapter maybe not OK. When I screw in the lense into the adaptor and connect to the body, the lense is not turning into the totally punctual position (e.g. the tripod screw hole doesn't vertical, a few degree difference experienced. Hmm, maybe a cause? I don't know.
AS i sow the adapter-bajonette connection is OK, maybe the screw thread is not punctual...

If the adapter matches the focal length of your lens

The adapter will bring up the frame lines for which it is designed. This should be marked on it. The frame selector lever on the front of the camera will work regardless of the adapter (or lens) fitted.
