Frame spacing issue for Nikon 9000ED

Hi,
I am trying to scan a strip of 120 roll film with 6x4.5 images on it. Using a glassless carrier, I overlay AN glass cut to size for it to ensure flat film. Unfortunately, the image spacing, tho' uniform, may be a bit wider than usual, as larger portions of each next image is cut off, due to a mismatch with the scanner spacing. And, unless I am willing to cut and scan each image separately, I cannot see how I should align the scanner "frames" with those on the film.
Would greatly appreciate any help.

I feel your pain. :bang: I HATE the medium format framing on the 9000. I never get what I want. I always feel like I'm in a tug of war with the engineer who designed the thing, who was clearly not a photographer.

Are you thumbnailing first? I've not tried 6x4.5, but the thumbnail logic works fairly well with 6x6. I thumbnail first and then preview. If I need frame offset adjustments after that they are usually minor.

I have similar problems when using Vuescan - the solution in this case seems to be setting the offset to -40 for the first frames and -60 for the last (6x6) frame. I don't know what software do you use, but I'd recommend Vuescan anyway... By playing with these offset values (mind the negative sign) you will find the right solution for your 4.5x6 frames too.
