Frameline not changing suddenly (M6TTL)

Any ideas?
The framelines are not changing suddenly on my M6TTL. The preview lever doesn't do anything apart from feintly show the 50mm line on as well as the 35/135 lines. Otherwise the 35/135 framelines are permanently displayed.


There has been no impact to the camera or anything weird in the past.

Tell me it's something simple please!

Dear Jack,

Lack of use. It happens from time to time with my M4-P (I also have M2, MP, M8.2...)

The changer gets sticky. Often, just moving the frame-change lever from one end of its travel to the other, quite slowly, many times, will cure the problem.

It's neither a difficult repair, nor expensive. If anyone tells you that you need a full CLA, consider whether there's anything wrong with the rest of the camera. If not, go for a straight repair (assuming the twiddling doesn't work).

Or just shoot 35/135...
