Hi there folks. Seems my last adjustment for infinity wasn't quite right so dabbled a bit more tonight..

Got quite a shock as my framelines move diagonally when I focus. It's a right to left shift when going from 07 - infinity.'
I have never noticed this at all before and I'm quite worried now. I noticed where the lens attaches it a spring that seems to do it so maybe it's meant to this?

Freaking out I've damaged something. :(

Just checking google but would like you opinion.

Thanks guys

Michael

Cheers. Just read that on cameraquest.. Was so worried there. I still feel shaky ... Never noticed it before and it is pronounced throughout the zoom range.

Phew...
will pop a roll o film through her tomorrow and get it developed on tuesday to see how she is.

Why would it move diagonally on a Bessa, since the frameline window is above the lens?

Normal for a Leica, but on my Bessa R the framelines would move up and down.

Normal, you probably never noticed it happening before. Once you adjusted it you became more in tune with things that you never took notice of before.

Its not based on the frameline illumination window's position, but the viewfinders. The Finder if on the extreme left side of the camera (looking at it from the back) so the lens is diagonal from the finder, thus the diagonal movement of the frames. If yours only goes up and down it needs service
