Other Areas France

Bush will be gone crawdiddy, but I'm afraid the same puppeteers will still be in control (authors for new american century) :bang:
Ah, mon ami... looks like all of us basques have the same political temperament.

Just as a side note... I'll be living in France for about eight weeks from the end of march through the end of may.

It would be great to be able to meet up with some fellow RFFers if I can.

I'll be staying in Lacoste, France, but will be taking trips on most weekends to other areas of France. Unfortunately though, I speak hardly any french (only a few rudimentary words at best). Luckily though, my significant other speaks it much better than I do.

Anyway, I hope the language barrier will not pose too much of a problem. eee! :)

Parisian here coming from the South of France (Toulouse).
I'm not a fan of Bush to say the least, but maybe it would be best to avoid this kind of discussion here.
JBF, please let us know when you're in France (where is Lacoste btw?? I know the brand but not the place). I would be glad to meet you, and other French members. Last time, at the European RFF meeting, I was one of the two Parisian guys (Khaled was the other), so that would great to meet the others next time.
Philippe, j'espère te rencontrer un de ces jours.
Cheers,
Marc

PS: Pitxu, so you're a Brit Basque/Vasco/Euskal nationalist, and I'm a French Scot Nationalist. What's identity nowadays? Puzzling.

About the Bush thing, crawdiddy, you're totally entitled to talk about him, as an American and as a Texan (though Bush's not a true Texan), but as French it's inappropriate for us to do the same, especially here.

Don't forget to submit your picture for the Magic Roll contest! Theme is "The Holidays"!

N'oubliez pas de participer au "concours" Magic Roll. Le thème est: fêtes de fin d'année (c'est original!!!)

No more politics.

Pitxu, no criticism intended. I just wonder what is identity nowadays (it's part of my academic research).

You lucky dog, jbf.

You'll love it. Just remember: speak softly, and carry a big baguette ;)

haha. I'm quite excited. Should be a ton of fun. Probably one of the best times in my life I bet. :)

Lacoste is a very small village (about 300 permanent residents). It's in Provence (southern France).

I'll definatey keep in touch with you guys. I'll be in a more remote area of France, but anytime I am in Paris or in some of the larger cities I'll be sure to see if we can meet up at any place (scheduled beforehand of course. ) :D

Perhaps there will be a European meet up while I'm there. That would be great! :D

btw, speak of bush is completely acceptable to me. I can not stand he or the current governmental authority one bit. I just wish we could have another 'social revolution' with the youth of America (similar to that of the 1970s). We need more young individuals to get involved in politics and get interested. But anyway, that is neither here nor there. :)

One more froggy here, actually Breton (can we say French occupied country? No I won't go down that road) but expatriated in Hong Kong and soon moving to Singapore.

Better refuse to go without dick holding his hand than the other way around.:D

And that's all the politics I'll allow myself to get in...

I'm an ex-French too, BTW.

good day gentlemen! :)

I really love that clip where Bush refuses to go in front of the 9/11 commission without Dick there to hold his hand. (pull his strings):p

R.
