I have an extra copy of the Peter Dechert book on Canon Rangefinder Cameras 1933-68. No cost to RFF folks, free postage to USA. Send me a PM with your address if interested. First response gets the book.
i got my initial copy about 1992, got another copy about 2005 in a "big box o camera stuff" on ebay for about 30 USD. It has been sitting in my bookcase since then, about time to let someone use it.
The Dechert book is a great reference, mostly about the cameras (as its title suggests). There is only the briefest discussion of lenses here. The seminal work on lenses is Peter Kitchingman, “Canon M39 Rangefinder Lenses 1939-71 - A Collector's Guide”

I suspected so 🙂. Dechert is easily found and is quite inexpensive. Kitchingman will run you US $100 or more, which explains why I don’t have it!!
I should add that it’s worth every penny; it’s a labor of love, privately printed in a limited run, ships from Australia, and I very much doubt PK is covering much more than his costs, if that. Get it if you can.
