Free licenses for Capture One Express (RAW converter)

Digital Photographer magazine is giving out licenses for the Express version of the great Capture One RAW conversion software by Phase One. Normally this is a $129 piece of software.

Just get the license code, download Capture One from http://www.phaseone.com/en/Downloads/CaptureOne.aspx and install it.

I liked Capture One when I tried it years ago but in the end went with Nikon Capture 4 as it did a better job with my then D70. Now my D80 wont work with the old Nikon Capture 4 the new NX software by Nikon seems to crash my PC or it slows to a crawl. I will take advantage of this offer though and see if Capture One will work better for my D80 files.

With a phase one back you can download the full pro version and use for free, see their site. Just download and select phase one back to use, all updates are free.

Thank you. I haven't bothered shooting RAW since I got a beta version of the first Lightroom and my then-old Canon 10D. Never did figure out how to use it to the best advantage. I'll give it another go with my D90. Let's see what I can squeak out of this camera at ISO 6400 and a 50/1.8 on my nightly walks home from work...

Anyone try to edit NEF files from a Nikon Scanner? The one's from my SCS 9000 ED don't show up.
