Cheap tricks department:
In a recent post, someone (sorry, can't remember who - senior moment)
mentioned trimming the inner flange on a Kodak film cap to make a
rear cap for Kiev lenses. These Kodak caps, without trimming, work well
as rear caps on most screw mount lenses. Just set the lens at infinity
and snap it on over the inner barrel. Automatic pop-off when you
reset focus to a closer distance (with the lens off the camera).
