Free Zarya, complete w/I26, in pieces, FREE

I bought a Zarya (Fed 2c without rangefinder) on eBay, "all speeds working." Turns out the thing was completely gunked up and no speeds are working. I took it apart in an effort to lubricate, found everything inside is all greasy, then couldn't put it back together. I give up. &$^# it all. It's yours for ten bucks shipping, including the fully functional I26 with "glass perfect," meaning apparently that the glass is usable but scratched and dusty, because that's it's real condition. There is a complete camera here, it's fairly uncommon, and it will work for whomever is willing to clean and reassemble it. But I wash my hands of it forever and am going to eat the ^*&$ing money I lost being a freaking idiot and thinking I could find a single honest seller in the $^*&#^(@&%ing Ukraine.

payasam, step off. Every FSU camera and lens I have tried to buy from eBay has been dishonestly described. Every single one--I think I've tried half a dozen times. The only accurately described FSU items I've ever bought have been from Yuri at Fedka, in New York--a Jupiter 9, a Fed 50/3.5, and some camera straps. He's the Ukranian I'll trust from now on.

Go ahead and see racism under every throw pillow if you want, but leave me out of it.

I've bought a fair amount of stuff from the Ukraine over the years. The few good sellers are increasingly hard to find amongst a sea of junk and dishonesty IMHO.

Many times it's a question of luck also. I bought my Kiev 4 on ebay, from a ukranian seller and in that time I payed sending he euros in a registter letter. And every thing went fine! On the other hand I bought a m39 to m42 ring and since the seller didn't send the correct info to do a bank transfer I sent the money to the adress that he had give to me. After two weeks he did "item didn't pay" complain or something. And I lost 10 euros, since it was much I didn't care.

What a dreadful experience. I have only good stories to tell of dealers in the Ukraine-Asterliks for instance is a good dealer. The only problems I have had are US dealers who, I think list stuff without looking at it eg Leica whose shutter didn't close, lens with rear element missing(!) usw

For chrissake, people, I have nothing against Ukranians, OK? I have something against the half dozen Ukranian eBay camera sellers who have screwed me. I'm not a moron, I don't think an entire country sucks because I lost fifty bucks on eBay. The point of this thread was to give something away, not to complain. The issue is resolved, and I appreciate your collective support.
