I got this via email from Freestyle yesterday - thought some here might be interested. I have no relationship to Freestyle Photo, I just buy their film from time to time - I can recommend them, but that's it.

Freestyle Photo

ARISTA-II®PROFESSIONAL BLACK AND WHITE FILM
ISO 100 24 exposure $1.79
ISO 100 36 exposure $2.59
ISO 400 24 exposure $1.99
ISO 400 36 exposure $2.59

AGFAPAN APX PRO 100
24 exposure $1.99
36 exposure $2.99

AGFAPAN APX PRO 400
36 exposure $2.99

I note that the Arista-II film they are selling is listed as 'Made in Germany' which would mean it is actually Agfa. I have used Arista.EDU, which is actually Forte (?) and is very, very, curly (not easy to process, since it fights getting on the reel and also doesn't want to lay flat for scanning). I have some Arista.EDU Ultra, but haven't used it yet. I have no experience with Arista-II - perhaps someone who does could comment. If it is actually Agfapan APX Pro - it's pretty nice stuff.

I've used the Agfapan 100 in medium format and I like it a lot. I'd probably pick it over Ilford and it would be a coin toss between it and Tmax... I'd buy whichever was cheaper that day. I have no experience with Fuji B&W film so I can't compare those.

I've shot a couple rolls of Edu Ultra in 120 and like it. I wouldn't characterize it as curly, I certainly had no problems with it, and posted a couple pics, but it didn't seem to generate any interest.

I received their catalog a few days ago and the prices are the same. Some good deals on film & paper.
The usaual disclaimer..I have no monetary interest, etc.

The email I got said that they were giving the 'quantity 100' price on any quantity. In any case, I was just passing on the info.

Good to know, since I have some in 120 and some in 35mm. The Arista.EDU was so curly it was a real hassle, which kind of kills the joy of low price for me when I have to wrestle with it.

I remember why I didn't buy any before...because I couldn't! Not then, or now.

If I try, it won't show up on the cart. If I click on their "Coming Soon!" graphic, it says that they don't sell Arista anymore... me cornfused.

I don't know what to say - Arista is their 'house brand'!

I went ahead and added a few to my cart and took a screen shot - looks ok to me!
