I've found a single roll of Kodak PlusX in the back of my freezer.
It is 120 and in its foil wrapper (no box).
How can I tell if it is the updated version or prior?
Any die-hard PlusX fans out there that can provide some clues?
Thanks kindly.

Is it in papered foil or plastic foil? I'm not positive, but I think the newer version is only in the plastic foil pkg.

Thanks for that...it is in the shiney, foil wrapper. There was also a roll of TechPan and it is in a paper wrapper.

Is there a date on the foil? Usually Kodak prints exp. date on there no?

Hibbs, could you dig back a little further in the freezer to see if there is a brick of Verichrome Pan in 120? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Well...wouldn't you know it, there is a total of 3 rolls. There were 2 others with light grey and yellow wrappers. One has Apr-04 and the other Mar-05.
The date on the shiny gold foil has disappeared. I could just make out that there was some info stamped onto the foil.
As for the Verichrome, I have one, last roll of that emulsion.
Hmmm...time to load up the Fuji RF.

The best camera is one that still works!
I also dug some of this out of my freezer in 120 a while ago that had been hiding in there ... forgotten. It's a nice film but I've had mixed results with it ...when I get the exposure dead right it's excellent but some of my results were pretty atrocious when I got it wrong. This is one of the good ones!
