From my Dad's Closet II 7 folders and a surprise Tenax

My late father had acquired 280+ cameras and gear in his long life. Now they need to be catalogued, evaluated, and eventually sold.
I joined this forum to learn more about the range finders which made up the core of his collection. I'm finding a wealth of information here just by reading past posts.

It's strange rummaging through his study/camera room which I've taken to calling the museum. Some of the cameras I recall from 40 or so years ago, most are new to me.

So as I uncover them I'll post a listing and ask for the members advice. And maybe my posts become a memorial in sharing his passion with those of a like mind.

This is the second batch I've looked at closely. Many more to follow.
Any information is greatly appreciated as to value, historical and monetary. If there are potential known problems maybe you can tell me.

I will be setting up an extended photo session of these and others. I clearly have to establish a work flow and semi-permanent diffuser tent and get better lights. If anyone has the hots for one....hehehehe, I can snap a few quick ones and post to my flickr stream

If I posted this in the wrong place, please let me know.

Agfa made at least two models of Karat that used conventional 35mm film (the Karat 36 and the Karat IV) as well as several models that used a special type of Agfa Rapid cartridge film. Of those, the ones using the cartridge film are not worth much at all (since nobody makes the cartridges anymore), and the Karat 36 is not in particularly high demand. The Karat IV is in high demand, but only with the Solinar, Soligon or Xenon lens. With an Apotar it isn't going to sell for much, because the Apotar is a triplet (three element) lens, and the others are much better lenses with four or more elements, but it will be a good user.
