Sounds like a tough broad! She has a great portfolio of images in this story. I'm guessing it's a goal of every young photographer to be photographed looking as bad-ass as she does in that flight suit with 2x RFs around her neck.

Those Canon's must have been popular at the time. Too bad you don't see many in great shape, tho maybe there is a reason for that too.

This gal drops from the sky in active war zones with an M4, but Kravits get this 'correspondent' edition. Nice job, Leica.

So I checked the link, reposted it, and nativated to it by copy and paste. The link is actually correct, it just looks like RFF is compromised.

Google NYT & Catherine Leroy if you want to find it. Hopefully the mods fix the site soon.

Thanks for the info! Found it via Google!
The photo of the Navy Corps man impressed me from the first Moment I saw it...it was fascinating to see the Person and the Story behind it

It seems that NYT has a "share" feature (in the upper right corner of the NYT article)... if you click on that you get a working link to cut and paste into the post.

The full link "https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/03/28/opinion/vietnam-leroy-photoessay.html" does not seem to be handled properly by 'VigLink', and it doesn't seem to be a RFF problem...
