from the past

[Red Rock Bill]

Just had visitors from the past come into the shop...Bill and Estelle Marder from Florida came by to visit....they were from the old camera show days...they wrote a book on E.T.Anthony and Co. which can still be found on Amazon or Ebay once in awhile .They are on a road trip and still taking pictures.I remember buying my first Rolleiflex 2.8 Planar from him 30yrs ago or so, through the original Shutterbug Ads. I wonder if anyone remembers those days.Visits like this make me glad I didn't fully retire and still have my shop to receive visitors. Last time I saw them was about 10 years ago.

Bill, yes, I fondly remember those days... camera stores were special places, and the customers made them a fun and interesting place to hang out.
