You mean Samsung sensor. Pentax and Samsung are partners, not Sony.
Nope, it's Sony this time around...i think pentax and Samsung are slowly parting ways.

Personally I think Henry Ford got it right "You can have any color you want - so long as its black!" Should be more of it.

Pentax is one loopy company. That particular camera - the K-X, has an 11 point AF system, but NONE of the points highlight in the viewfinder when it locks focus - so in effect, you have no idea where it's focussed. What the hell kind of a system is that?
They just keep bringing out crap. I like the k-7, but I don't like the samsung sensor in it.

Who stole my light?
This give me a GREAT idea. Someone could cover a camera in that stuff they make "Mood Rings" out of!![]()
HAHAH! That would be brilliant, but it would be a total giveaway when you would see a cute girl in the street you would want to take a picture of, and the camera starts glowing red...

Seems my good ol' M3 is looking might drab these days by comparison. So I guess it's time to buy some Krylon!
I'm thinking hot pink and hunter green, with some baby blue accents on the Elmar and a nice paisley hippie strap. You guys will be soooo jealous.

Mark this space, the next step is for Pentax to offer stenciling your favorite clip-art image onto the camera body...
Hey, that one may actually be cool!

pentax's first DSLR used AA's and continues this tradition to now. i use Sanyo Eneloops in my Pentax and really not a problem at all.
My Samsung (Pentax clone) uses either AA or CR-V3 batteries. I have about 700 shots on my CR-V3 batteries, and there still seems to be some juice left.
I might buy one in Black if my Samsung dies while they still sell this model...

It's not new, to produce consumer goods in a wide range of colours. There's a huge aftermarket for mobile phone or ipod skins so this is just the manufacturer catering to the need.
Personally, I wasn't in the market for a dSLR at the moment but really like those bright yellow ones...

My M5s need red dots!
Whoa! Imagine this in someone's face!
Makes you reconsider the polemic red dots on Leica cameras...

Huh..? No black body, black grip combination?

I wouldn't be caught dead with anything but an all black camera.
That's what professionals use, so they must take the best pictures.

Yes, isn't Pentax silly using AA batteries? Much better to have a proprietary rechargeable battery that will
become unavailable in a few years, rendering your camera nothing more than an expensive paperweight.

A camera is a mechanism that allows the lens to project a focused image upon the film (or sensor) while controlling the amount of light by means of an aperture and a shutter. FWIW, I think that, at Pentax, some of the Indians might have gone off the reservation.Whoa! Imagine this in someone's face!

Hey, dont laugh. A completely unserious looking camera like that has one very practical use: eliciting a reaction from the subject. Dont you think you could get some nice smiles with that? or not so scary looking to take pics of the kids with. I remember a wedding once the groomsmen were hamming it up for someones P&S camera, later when I drew mine, it was thesame effect as a drill sargeant....
Years ago I remember a mate and I doing a camo paint job on our nikon slrs just for laughs. I taped mine up first but my mate painted straight on to his fm2, md12 and 24 2.8, leatherette and all. Looked ok though.
