Oh, it was worth the drive all right. Overwhelming to say the least - literally several thousand images to see. The catalog for the show is 157 pages long! Right now I'm suffering from a case of sensory overload. But it was a pleasure to be able to see images from HCB, Doisneau, Cunningham, Weston(s), and the list goes on and on ... It was a real kick to be able to pick up an $18,000 Cunningham print and look at it closely. My only real disappointment was what I thought a rather pedestrian booth from Magnum! We were there for 3 1/2 hours and that was rushing!
