Hi guys,
I have a rigid summicron and a bokeh king (35 Summicron v.4). Both do not come with front caps. I am planning to get a chrome slip-on front cap for the Rigid and a black slip-on front cap for the 35 crons. Any idea whether I can still find this new from Pop Flash? N if so, what is the model?
Thanks. I know both are 39mm filter size

Probably, just call them and ask. I will warn you, the caps are EXPENSIVE.

Why not get a couple of 39mm Pinch-Caps. Much cheaper than the Leica Caps, and easier/stay on better. But to answer your question, caps for these lens's are available, but at a price.

Dang! What are they selling for these days? I might be talked into selling a couple of mine.

These Leica caps would work for your purposes, as I have used these identical ones for the same purposes you are. A modern version of the vintage type (originally intended to be sold with the current Elmar 50mm), but they are quite a bit more solid and fit securely with a rubber ridged material inside the rim that makes a nice connection with the lens barrel. Not cheap, but quite nice and compliment your lenses very well.

Thanks bro!!! I don't need the vintage original type, but a modern version is good enough. I guess this is for the Rigid. I also saw some of the front caps with a cutaway. Are those meant for the 35 cron?

I found a pair of plastic 42mm slip on caps on ebay. They say Leica on the front but are knock offs. Cheap and no one knows they aren't the real deal--who really cares.. They fit snugly and if I were to lose one I wouldn't be out a lot of money.
BTW--The BP M3 and rigid cron is a great kit. My DR cron lives on my BP M3.

The cap with cutouts is for the reversed hoods IROOA and 12585.

Same here. And I use the 14033 cap that fits onto 12585 hood when it is reversed. Another cap sits on the 12575N hood when it is reversed clipped onto the 90mm collapsible elmar. I sort of like it. I got my caps and hood from the mrphoto2003 ebay seller.BTW--The BP M3 and rigid cron is a great kit. My DR cron lives on my BP M3.

Just an update. I got a nice Voigtlander 39mm front cap for the Rigid for now and just use the hood cover for the 35crons. Will hold off for now and may order together with filters with Popflash or B&H during my next order.
I am waiting patiently for my Ebay Nikkor 85f2 and Topcor 50f2 to arrive to see if I need to order some stuffs like front caps for those.
