Fruition - 50/1.5 Summarit

😀Boy did I strike gold won a Lens on ebay the only reason I went after that it was Taylor,Taylor & Hobson lens. I know about these lens from large format lens , And top it off I stole it and a very reasonal price, So the lens is Summarit 50mm F-1.5 serial 491956 and upon Investigation I found only 103 were made in 1939 serial numbers were 491898 to 492000 so time will tell I got ia 1.5 since I like to shot flower fotos and the DOF or Boken should be great with lens : Am I expounding here Of yes,yes [LOL] 😀😀😀 should be by Saturday or monday coming

The lens is from the first production of the Summarit in 1949, using some left over numbers from the 1941/42 Xenon's, Leica started up it's postwar version of the f1.5/50 lens, these are unique, not especially rare, but an interesting and often overlooked part of early 1950's Leica history.

I think in production numbers of all the Summarit's the Canada/Midland is the rarest.....
