FS: Canon 50/1.4

Here's a beautiful 50/1.4. I would rate this as EXCELLENT+. It shows slight signs of use, but is simply gorgeous. There's a slight paint chip from the position where a lens hood was once screwed on.

Focusing is smooth, aperture clicks are firm and solid.

The glass is perfect: incredibly clean and bright.

since you have had experience with the canon 50/1.2, which would you say is sharper at 1.4?

I'm not sure which is sharper -- I haven't done an actual test. Both lenses have very different personalities. But on the basis of sharpness, I would err on the side of the 50/1.4. It's a terrific lens.

I can vouch for Alan's evaluation of lenses! I bought a sweet Canon 35/2 from him some years ago. Alas, had to sell it due to hard times. Wish he had another one I could get from him!
