FSU NOOB question

Steve,
I think only the Kiev 5 has frame lines. AFAIK, all the others simply rely on the VF/RF window as the 50mm view and for any other lens, external finders. I think.

So, in general, the answer is no.

I must be a photo wimp...the idea of carrying around a couple of external finders is not very attractive.
Is there an inexpensive source for finders? It seems the need for a finder offsets some of the price advantage of these inexpensive cameras.

I have been pretty happy with the FSU turret finder. The view through mine is good and it's set up so that you can see what is just outside the frame. The downside is if you're shooting close; I have a tough time remebering to adjust for that. Not usually a major problem for me since I frame pretty loosely but occasionally it has been an issue--mostly with my 85/90 mm lenses.

I agree completely. Use the turret!

The Leningrad has for sure framelines from 35mm to 135mm (I've got one). It has def. the brightest FSU rangefinder but the spring motor causes problems.

The Drug also has frame lines for 50 and 85, plus a Canon ViT style lever wind that is prone to self-destruction. BTW the Leningrad has another problem, it has an r/f that can distort due to age
