So, you bought it! 🙂 I guess you like it. How do you feel about the large front element? Because I read it's big... doesn't it take a 77mm size filter?

i did buy it...it is large, and yes filter size is 77mm and it weights almost twice as much as my next biggest lens.
intellectually it's a great lens...it covers 16, 23, 35, 50...plus all those other little in-between f-stops...physically i might not be up to it, it may not be an all day everyday lens but time will let me know. as with most new fuji lenses i have difficulty with the metering and focus...it has been like that for me with most every fuji lens. and i hate that ugly plastic petal hood...

The 77mm filter size worked out well for me. All of my RB67 medium format lenses take 77mm filters.
