 :bang: Am I just inept (a strong possibility when it comes to things related to computers, smart phones, apps) or is Fuji Camera Remote a temperamental, confusing, non-sensical hot mess as it’s been for me?

Endless connecting, different pathways to eventually connect, Wifi sometimes, BT other times, warnings that the camera/Camera Remote are not connected while at the same time photos are actually transferring....and how do you delete photos from the Camera Remote albums once they’re loaded on there. I see the IOS app has 1-1/2 stars. I’m surprised it doesn’t have negative stars.

I tried the app as well and found it had a lot of problems. Finally just gave up and deleted it.

I have one of the older Camranger devices that gets used on a Nikon DSLR so was hoping for similar functionality. The newest Camranger appears to support some Fuji cameras, but is fairly expensive. It provides the wireless signals so doesn’t use the cameras BT or wifi.

I’ve been poking around and the consensus seems to be: Train wreck. And that’s from long time Fuji users. Maybe one of the updates will sort things out. My favorite is when everything looks frozen/unconnected and later on I find photos from the card loaded on my phone’s Photos Recents album.

I have an app to work my RV, it's a mess. I have had other apps that fall into that category too. I give up on apps. Gemmmee my wires please.

When I changed from Sony to fuji I though the fuji app was miles better as I had all the problems you say about with Sony. I love the fuji app, I have an android phone. Connects first time, never drops out, transfers quick. Use it as a remote all the time. Perfect for me.

I keep fiddling around with mine. With a few months worth of use I might figure out what it’s doing. Sometimes it connects with Bluetooth sometimes WiFi. Today it was having me connect with Wifi, repeatedly saying Searching while my Wifi settings showed the camera was connected. All the while the camera showed files being transferred (blinking orange/green lights) by Bluetooth.....
