Without going into a long boring story, let me say that my experience with Fuji over the last couple months has been horrendous. Cameras have stopped working, Fuji has done an inadequate job of repairs, and they have not provided any field help with replacement cameras.
Maybe they are no worse than any other camera company, but it is a disappointment, so beware. Of course it's not unusual to have enough cameras so that one is in use, one is being fixed, and the other is being shipped.
Good luck.

Without going into a long boring story...
You kinda do need to go into that story if you are going to post this.
Otherwise it just comes over as " "insert name here" sucks, good luck! "

I agree.
For a complaint to have credibility, the story (both sides !) needs to sit on the table.

Without going into a long boring story, my experience with fuji over the past 10 months has been excellent. Camera has been completely reliable, lenses have been excellent in use and needed no servicing, accessories have proven useful and issue-free. I have no experience with their service department, because I've had no performance issues and thus no need to call them.
Statistically, we're back to zero, weighting each instance equally.

I had a problem with my 60mm while in Japan enroute to Bangkok. Fuji gave me a loaner while my lens was being repaired. I just sent my 2- Xpro 1 bodies to Fuji in N.J. for a circuitry check and clean before overseas assignment. They were fast, reasonable, and good on the phone. When they finally get a real Fuji Pro Service department I'll switch over completly to Fuji.

Fujifilm's service has been excellent to me, they replaced my EVF free of charge on my XE1 when i dropped the camera (and it was my fault) with no questions asked. They even spent a long time helping me put my troublesome custom designed strap on, and i didnt even ask for it. Their service was prompt, professional and courteous. So, i think we're up one now.

The story and the country. One manufacturer's service quality can vary quite a bit from region to region.

I agree! My experience with Nikon has been excellent and yet I read how bad they are all the time.

I have only ever experienced excellent service and support from Fujifilm. On the last instance when an card broke ejecting from camera they serviced for free, paid for postage and provided boxes, sent back in a week cleaned and checked, and provided two replacement SD cards.

Your virtually anonymous whine will not have any affect on whether I buy or don't buy a Fuji. Why? Because you are clearly in a very small minority, and I can see that even if you can't.
To say 'beware' suggests you don't have a clear perspective on the numbers of people who complain about Fuji products, which aren't a lot. And if you can't get that perspective you could be shooting yourself in the foot by rejecting a fine camera manufacturer for an irritating experience rather than seeing that every now and again things go tits up.

The OP has not gotten back to say what the problem was/is. Well, My X10 and X100 are working fine. I hope they continue to.

Excellent service from Fuji australia for me. They repaired my original (first batch) x100 when it had a problem and had it back to me within 3-4 days, they have loaned me several pieces of equipment on 'review' terms for me to try out, and they cleaned my x-pro1 up free of charge and even replaced a few little worn bits and pieces earlier this year. Really good service. Can't say the same about canon or olympus. Olympus especially who wanted to charge me $34 for a 4mm screw that came loose and disappeared while the camera was still under warranty (a pro model e-3 too).

Internet anecdotes, being undocumented in the journalistic sense, are worthless as an assessment of a particular service establishment, however entertaining the stories may be.
I'm pleased with my few Fujifilm products(one cam and two lenses) and my one interaction with their service department.
See? I told you..... worthless!

I don't own any digital Fuji cameras, but this thread gives an overall very positive impression of how they deal with problems, which is always very good to see.

I can't say I've had any truly bad experiences but I did have trouble getting my free servicing for my X-Pro1. Admittedly that was partly due to the camera shop going bust but, after some perseverance and a few emails, I got that sorted. The only other time was with my first X100s which was repaired twice before being replaced but I do think overall Fujifilm are good. They do listen to our requests so not much to complain about.

MAS, when you say the above, can I ask you what exactly you meant? Other than professional photographers, who will get cameras supplied when theirs is in for repairs or servicing, we mere mortals won't be given that kind of service. I didn't when my X100s when in twice for repairs before being replaced under warranty. I can agree that they, Fujifilm, are no worse than any other manufacturer so that throws up the question: what happened to have caused you to start this post? Please come back and follow up on your post.Fuji has done an inadequate job of repairs, and they have not provided any field help with replacement cameras. Maybe they are no worse than any other camera company, but it is a disappointment, so beware.
