Fuji Discontinuing Pro 800Z

Does anyone know how this will affect Superia 800?

It doesn't mention it but I'm sure Superia 800 must be derived from this. 🙁

Especially as I was really digging Fuji's ISO 800 films...

Crap crap crap!

I really like that film, but I don't use much : perhaps ten rolls of each 35mm and 120 per year.

This means there will be no ISO 800 120 color film left in the world 🙁 a sad day indeed.

I hope that superia 800 is kept alive - that will do for 35mm.
But NPH on 120 is going to be too slow on dull cloudy days - do wedding pros still use 120 ?

Sad news to hear. There's still some left till september, lets use whats left and keep on using the films we like. Gotta keep them going. (Also, I hope there's no price gouging for the film.)

Interesting to hear about the instant films though.

This is bad news. I fall into the, seemingly large, group of people who only use kodachrome or fuji 800 when shooting in colour.

Does anyone know off the top of their head what colour fast (800 or higher) are still in production? Is porta 800 still being made?

Ah, nuts...we were going on about this film just a while ago. That leaves Portra 800 for me, and (hopefully) Superia 800, since they only singled out Pro 800 in that press release.

They's better not touch Pro 400, though...I'll scream bloody murder then. This is bad enough.

(Hmm...maybe it's time to hit the subway to Adorama...)
