Sorry, my point is that the 7D is still a current camera in the eyes of Canon. A Mk.II is a possibility for 2014 maybe, so why shouldn't they support it? They are not improving a product that had already been replaced, and are certainly not cutting into a potential replacement's sales. Really, they were fixing some regarded handicaps, and quite long into the production cycle at that.
Fuji is releasing FW updates for cameras that have already been replaced in the lineup for some time. THAT is support, and what I believe warrants some praise. Sure, they may be losing a sale here and there on new product, but they are smart enough to know that a happy customer is a loyal (repeat) customer.
That is, of course, about the X100 and not the XE or XP, but I purchased an XE based on that support. Now, a few weeks after the launch of the X-E2, I am happily awaiting December 19th and another FW release for my lowly X-E1.
