Fuji FP-3000B Discontinued Rumor

DO NOT FREEZE IT!
Freezing will ruin the film very quickly. You can keep it in the refrigerator but do NOT freeze. I am hoping that it is not true because I am really starting to like the FP3000B film in my Polaroid conversions. The FP100C is great too but I don't want to be limited.

This is sad news. I recently got into using this film in my Land Cameras and have loved it. The quality of it and ease of use are wonderful.

I have 3 boxes in the fridge. I guess I need to splurge and buy up more. :/

Done and Done. I got 10 boxes. I could go through those in a few days if I got out and shot. Going to have to be more selective of my use of this film. It's a shame, this is the perfect film for so many things.

Michael Raso (Film Photography Podcast) contacted Fuji USA and was told there will be one more large batch coming to the U.S. in 2014 (no idea when) then no more. So if you like this film, better stock up soon.

Interesting. If they are making another batch...it's because it sells. If is sells, why discontinue it? :bang:

It is not "made" but selling off old stock they already have and are going to cut in the size that probably sells best (or needs lowest effort in assembling the final consumer unit)

You can freeze the Fuji instant films. This was not true for Polaroid.
Also Fuji is good years after expiry date (I use FP-100c expired more than 10 years ago), this could not be said about Polaroid.

Well, I have no illusion that it'll help, but I just ordered six packs. I would love to buy some more, but you know, Europe loves its taxes...

It's a shame if this disappears, because it's truly unique. Can't use any of the other existing instants in the cameras without severe mods, so once FP3000 and FP100 are gone it's a paperweight.

Such a waste :-( I really enjoy using my Miniportraits.

Sad to hear of it, but it is inevitable that without volume sales the film will disappear. Volume sales isn't six or ten packs by a couple dozen people every so often ... volume sales would be more like 100 cases of film a week, like it once was. Those days are gone.

Since I have the Land 350 working nicely now, I've ordered 20 packs of FP-3000b, and have three in stock. So this camera likely has a lifespan now of 230 more exposures, unless I want to switch to using FP100c. Unless there happens to be more FP-3000b available when I use it up, at which point the Land 350 will have another short lifespan.

Time is measured in various ways.
