I realise that its not everyone's cup of tea but I really like the feel that the fuji grip has given my x pro 1,I have always admired and used grips, I feel camera always handles better with a grip, (opinions may differ on this), however, I might change my mind regarding this grip after a few weeks of usage, but hopefully I will cope with the hassle of taking it off every time I remove the battery

But you can call me Steve
I used the half case for quite a while then got the grip. I'm still not sure which is better. Either makes the camera easier to shoot with my large, arthritic hands. Now if they would just fix my photos.......

I know what you mean, camera looks and feels good if only my images matched my cameras high standardsI used the half case for quite a while then got the grip. I'm still not sure which is better. Well-known
Mick, went out today shooting with my new grip for the first time. Worked well enough and for me at least, improved the handling. Did have to change battery at one point. A teeny, teeny nuisance but I lived through the ordeal

i think most cameras do well by a grip…as comfortable as the xe1 is, i prefer it with a grip!

yes I must admit my Pentax Lx always felt better with their grips attached, they were very pricey for what they were

I must admit I toyed with a half case, but good ones are very expensive

i was lucky and was gifted the fuji leather half case and strap…i like the case and use it in the winter instead of one of the grips…much nicer on the hands.

Interesting.
My VG-XT1 grip arrived today as well. My initial impression is favorable. The grip is light and the increase in size seems well-balanced with improvement in ergonomics. The function buttons and controls seem identical in quality to those on the camera. The camera will be on a tripod 99% of the time, so the side battery access and center thread mount are useful.
The Arca compatible base is convenient. I use a Manfrotto gear head and an Arca adapter costs ($110). So I will start out using the Manfrotto plate.
