I realise that its not everyone's cup of tea but I really like the feel that the fuji grip has given my x pro 1,I have always admired and used grips, I feel camera always handles better with a grip, (opinions may differ on this), however, I might change my mind regarding this grip after a few weeks of usage, but hopefully I will cope with the hassle of taking it off every time I remove the battery

Mick, went out today shooting with my new grip for the first time. Worked well enough and for me at least, improved the handling. Did have to change battery at one point. A teeny, teeny nuisance but I lived through the ordeal🙂

excellent Paul mate, my grip was waiting on my return from work this evening, off at the weekend , will give it a test run then, a cursory play with it, well so far I like it a lot

Interesting.

My VG-XT1 grip arrived today as well. My initial impression is favorable. The grip is light and the increase in size seems well-balanced with improvement in ergonomics. The function buttons and controls seem identical in quality to those on the camera. The camera will be on a tripod 99% of the time, so the side battery access and center thread mount are useful.

The Arca compatible base is convenient. I use a Manfrotto gear head and an Arca adapter costs ($110). So I will start out using the Manfrotto plate.
