Hello folks. Today I dropped this camera, resulting in the window between the viewfinder and rangefinder breaking. As a repair is now required, I thought I would get a CLA at the same time. Can anyone recommend a repairer? Is a specialist Fuji expert required?
Best regards,
RoyM

Can't help you in UK....
Can't help you in UK....
But in the USA, all my Fuji's (big and small rangefinders) go to Frank Marshman at CameraWiz in Harrisonburg, Va.
1-800-471-8133
He's put bellows in the GS645 (2) for me, and worked on GS645S and G690 and others.
He's been good to me.
He's timely... only cameras that took long were getting bellows for the GS645 folder.
He's a good on the phone and not so much by e-mail. All my conversations with him have been helpful. He has no problem getting parts from Fuji... last job was a back LCD on a GA645Zi. Back in a week plus, and I'm on the Pacific Coast, he's on the East Coast.
He's very reasonable.
If you're willing to ship, you probably won't find anyone who's had more experience with these Fuji rangefinders, outside of Fuji.
It's a nice camera. I've had 4 of them... very user friendly and very sharp lens.

Thanks for the suggestion - I may need it. I called a repair shop here in the UK, who told me that the parts may not be available

I can highly recommend Heinrich Gerhardt in Germany.
He has all the spare parts for the Fujis in stock (given by Fuji when they stopped their own service). Mr. Gerhardt did a fantastic job on my GS645 and GS645S for reasonable costs.
You will find him here:
http://www.fototechnik-gerhardt.de/
Not sure if he speaks English, but I could help if required.

can anyone help me? (I have a Fuji GS645Zi and I need the eye piece outter element (Round and screws in to hold the rest of the components) I love this camera but finding this piece has been very hard, maybe you know of someone who has a broken camera for parts that I can buy this item from. Thanks.

Hi Ivan
A simple fix is to buy a Cosina Dioptre correction lens - the one for the "Zeiss Ikon, Bessa R3A-R2A Epson RD1and the Carl Zeiss series viewfinder" (19mm thread) A low correction +1 or -1 will not have any significant effect on the operation of the viewfinder - I read somewhere that some standard eyepieces are manufactured and set to -1.
I used one of these to replace the same lost part on my Fuji GW670.
Hope this helps.

Many thanks, this RF forum is great, I guess we all have this in common, I have so many cameras, most of them RF, and I had no idea that there were so many other people interested in RF, now I know I'm not so crazy.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Roy,
Have you tried Newton & Ellis in Liverpool? They can fix almost anything and are not too expensive. You will be able to find them via Google or Yellow Pages.
They kept my Retinas running for years before I swapped to Leica.

I seem to remember reading on another forum that Fuji UK can either arrange or carry out (can't remember which) repairs on most of their film cameras. If you haven't got it sorted, it might be worth contacting their service and support people.

When I tried them earlier this year, they said they had no spare parts...
Good luck!

As said before:

He was given all the parts when Fuji stopped service in Germany.

He is a very nice person to deal with. Don't know if he speaks English,
give it a try...
I would help if communication is a problem.
