Hi All
I have recently acquired a Polaroid back to fit the Fuji 6x9....................only problem is it only fits the Mark III not 1 or 11!
As I have a Mk 1 GW [90mm] and a Mk II GSW [65mm] this is a bit of a bummer.............
So any one interested in doing some trading ?
I know the mk III fetch a lot more than the I and II even though they are basically [apart from the back catch and a few plastic bits] the same camera.
So I was thinking about my GW1 [90mm] and my GSW II [65mm] for a GSW III [65mm] might be an interesting trade for someone?
Only other way is to sell them both and buy a GSW III which would be real hassle.....................................
Any interest , comments or indeed other solutions welcomed!
Best to all
Clive

Thought I should bump this as I'm still trying to find a better solution than putting two super cameras on evilbay and buying another....................

Nick old boy, how are you?
Actually the plan all along was to have both GW and GSW to [rougly] replicate in MF my favourite 28mm and 21mm Rd-1 lens combination.
So bought a GW I [with original hood!] and a GSWII, both really nice.
THEN i found a polaroid back and raelised that I could also shoot 665 pos/neg [WOWEE] so sold my Polaroid 195 [got it back now pro tem], when back arrived realised it would only fit III so plan on replacing both but need the GSW more than the GW [always shot a 28 more than anything else on 35 !] so that should come first
So there's the plan, unless someone has a better idea...........................
The project is is to shoot a whole story in Ireland with these two instead of the Rd-1s [probably on IR!] as i really like the way people react to them ...................

Love the Palio series! You got quite close to the horses - did you have a special pass? Did you do this on your own, or was it part of a workshop?
BTW, some of the thumbnails don't display - I see a link instead. A few in the Palio series, but also one in the Portfolio section.

Yes had press pass, although only about three of the shots in the story needed it...........................and anyaway all the action shots are practice not real race [pass impossible to get for that]
Story all shot on 2 x R D1 except i think a couple of noblex pans and one 17mm fisheye shot on film................rest of press [shooting canon and big white lenses ] thought I was completely potty!
Was at TPW doing workshop but had picked that week so as to be able to cover this anyway so worked out very well..........
Thanks for HU on broken links, have already asked my guy to fix it!

Is the Poloroid back really that useful? What do you plan to do with the poloroids, give them out on the spot or just check expossure and such?
It seems to me that if you've got two proven, reliable Fuji's you'd want to keep them at almost any cost....

I guess that you have not experienced the joy of shooting with Polaroid 665 pos/neg then?

Actually I haven't. I rented a poloroid back and a Mamiya 645 once, and found it useful to check exposure and for unexpected things in a scene, like reflections. But I use a digital camera now for that, and shoot my B+W's on traditional film. This works well enough for my purposes.
What am I missing?
