I have a Fuji GW670 and was looking do away with the roll counter on the bottom. I have seen the video talking about taking the number counter out and that will take the "pinging" sound away. But from what I can see the counter makes no noise at all. There is a spring operated rod that pushing down on it and I can't tell, or see, how it all works.
I did see that every time you press the shutter button down at all the rod pushes on the counter and changes the number.
I there a page somewhere that has an exploded view of it or a video on how to take it apart enough to see if I can disable the pinging sound?
