I just picked up a Fuji GW670 III rangefinder camera. It came with a generic 67mm cap which attaches to the filter thread.
I know that the original cap (a Fuji Cap), fit over the lens hood and was a 'press-on' type. I called Fuji Parts and they don't have any more of these caps. So I asked them..."What size press-on cap will I need?"
They didn't have a clue.:bang:
So, I can do one of two things...
1.) Keep the generic 67mm snap-in cap that snaps into the filter thread
2.) Measure the outer-diameter of the shade and order a press-on cap.
I've tried the second choice with other cameras, and apparently it's not that scientific, or different caps have different specs.
Any assistance would be great.
Thanks, Brad

Re: Fuji GW670 III Lens Cap Question
Man are you good (and fast).
How do you know this and the Fuji Pro Support Team doesn't have a clue?
Do you have this camera? If so, how do you like it?
Now that I have the info, am I better off with a 67mm snap-cap or the press-on cap. Are the press-on caps easily lost?
Thanks
Brad

got a gsw690iii, planning on a gw690iii. you could say i like it.
i haven't lost the press-on cap, yet, and it goes well with the built-in hood. if you can't find the original press-on cap, i would use a filter instead of a pinchy snap-cap. i never liked those things. ymmv.

They have 85mm Fujinon caps on EBay. I wonder if that will fit. It may be from a Fuji Video Camera Lens.
Thx
