Hey there - does anyone know of a reliable repairer for a Fuji 690? The spacing in the frames seems to have gone and sometimes I’m getting 5 frames then 6 frames from a roll or 7.5 frames, totally inconsistent which is a shame as I love shooting with this and have lost a couple of what would’ve been great frames due to this
Thanks in advance
Dave

Hi, for all things a bit unusual I have always used Newton Ellis in Liverpool. They will be shutting up shop at the end of the year, after 75 years (I think it’s a property issue); however some of their team are carrying on in their home workshops set up during covid.
As I have a GSW690 I’d be interested to see what else gets said on the subject.
Phil

Out of interest, are there any overlaps or just huge spacing? I feel that inconsistent and huge spacing is at least better than overlaps, even with current film prices. Thanks Phil

Sorry me again, it may be worth saying which version you have. I havent watched it but I just saw there was a youtube video on the advance mechanism of the early version here:Thanks Phil
And there is a service manual for the MkIII here:
I’m not suggesting you open it up unless you feel confident but you may get an understanding of what’s going wrong. It may just be something gone gooey!

Huge inconsistent spacing as you say better than overlaps and thanks for the vidOut of interest, are there any overlaps or just huge spacing? I feel that inconsistent and huge spacing is at least better than overlaps, even with current film prices.
