Just ordered 3 rolls of this - never used it before...
What should I expect?
Waiting on it to get here from the land of the rising sun...
24.95/roll. Pricey, but Kodak hie is 400/roll on Amazon

I've heard nothing but good things. I was told it's like a portra but 1600.
I've only used superia 1600 and it was awesome.

Some say Natura is Superia but I never have tried. It appeared to complement Natura film compacts.

I've used Natura 1600, it's a very nice film. Grain not really any bigger than most 400 speed films, worked great in low light.

Wow. Yodobashi has it for ~$25 for a 3 pack of 36exp. Of course you have to order through a online shopping/shipping proxy that takes a commission, but it sounds like it'll be a lot cheaper.

Very nice samples of what Natura 1600 is capable of, Gabor!
I remember reading in a Japanese photography magazine that Fujifilm changed the name of Superia 1600 to Natura 1600 in the local market to complement the Natura line of compact film cameras. So Superia 1600 and Natura 1600... same film.

I just checked: Kodak HIE is now $450 on Amazon! It says, "1 offer." Is anyone really going to pay that?

Gabor, I was looking for fortia 50 yesterday while you and I were talking about it on facebook... Couldn't find any, but stumbled across some links to the natura and decided to get it instead.
Love your work with fortia

The last limited production run of Fortia 50 was in spring 2008. The only Fortia SP remaining now is leftovers from that run.

Hmmm maybe I should start buying it locally and listing it in the classifieds here

I have a bunch of Fuji Superia 1600 that I have never used in the freezer. Is that any good?
I'll have to try some out.

I also have frozen rolls ready. Use it for what it is: Colour indoors without flash.

That's actually not a bad price for Fortia 50! I've seen rolls selling here (though not for a while) for upwards of four times that

Thanks for the nice comments!
N1600 is still easily available in Japan I think, even the local (Chofu) PARCO department store has it in stock.
My last rolls of Fortia SP already last year had quite some magenta color cast so I would not necessarily bet on any of the left over rolls ...

I processed a roll a few months ago of it for someone. It must have been stored well, because it was brilliant.
