Hello,

information about this camera is scarce. Tt is indeed a P&S with little manual adjustments, but I I would like to know what the camera can really do (features) and what it delivers.

The lens is not fast at the long end, but is f/2.8 at 28mm - fair enough I would say.
How is the distortion, vignetting, sharpness, color rendition?
How is the autofocus, exposure?

There are two versions - back and white and I seem to recall that there are some minor differences between them.

It can be had for about 300 euro new and sounds like an interesting option for a companion to a "more serious" camera - Mamiya 6 in my case.

So - could anybody share his knowledge here?

If it's anything like the Klasse, then exposure and autofocus is spot on. Bear in mind they run in Japanese language, but I guess they are simple cameras and you'd probably get used to it.

The new ones come in grey or white, as far as I know, that's the only difference. The older black one had a f/1.9 prime, not a zoom.

I don't own one, but am considering it too, the results on Flickr are encouraging, obviously the lens and results will pale compared to your Mamiya 6, but I think it looks like a cool little camera.

I have the immediate predecessor, a Fuji Silvi (a.k.a. Zoom Date F2.8) - it shares the fast film NP mode of the Natura series and is generally pretty much the same by function (except for the lens being a wider 24/2.8-50/5.4, and the Natura lacking the strange arms' length self portrait mode of the Silvi). It is arguably cruder in finish and much less beautiful, but I got mine for one tenth the price, and prefer the wider lens...

The Silvi is unusually fast and wide for a compact, and has a excellent, sharp lens - and from what I've seen from the Natura Classica, it seems to be very similar in image quality.

thank you. I am not sure how the camera would compare to Klasse W (or S) which is a high-end compact camera with aperture priority.

However the Fuji Silvi (Zoom Date f2.8) with the 24-50 lens looks indeed interesting - pity that I do not seem to be able to locate one. I would probably give it a try.

Just guessing, but I'd expect the Klasse and Natura to be quite similar, they are of a similar age, I guess Fujifilm would use technology and components in both if they can. Also, I'd probably consider the Natura a high-end compact too, and results I've seen from it are very encouraging.

So as my attempt to get a Contax T3 failed (quite badly), I have scored yesterday the Fuji Silvi (a.k.a. Zoom Date F2.8). It is indeed a pure P&S but the wide lens could be interesting. From the samples I have seen there was not too much distortion. I am really curious how it will perform. I guess flickr deserves some decent photos made with this camera ;)
