Fuji Natura

'Better get one quick--I heard they're discontinued already. Can you get them serviced in/ out of warranty.....or is there a warranty?
 
$300 is an excellent price for a Natura. I tought that my Natura Black was broken, but it turned out that I was wrong.

The one year warranty is important, in my opinion. When I thought that my camera was broken, I had nowhere to send this camera for repair as I bought my camera on RFF like new. I emailed CameraQuest twice, but they never bothered to reply to my email request.

Get the black model if you can, it adds exposure compensation to the base features. I love mine and it's been a great travel camera.
 
Thank you. I'm looking at the Natura S in Aqua. CameraQuest has one, and a guy on eBay (with good feedback) in Hong Kong has one.

I want to take photos at night in bars without flash. All my film stock is ISO 100, anything faster would have to be ordered in. I am happy handholding at long exposures, is it simple to deactivate the flash?
 
yeah you can just deactivate the flash

but the only issue with the Natura is that once you turn it off it doesn't save your settings... so the flash will be on again when you turn the camera back on
 
nah... its pretty easy to understand

there was only one issue that I came across that gave me problems ... I had to translate the directions for this was a jam issue

you'll probably never have this issue

but a couple times when sticking the camera out of the car to take a couple photos.... the wind resistance somehow caused a jam of the lens (the lens extends slightly when you press the shutter) ... and it showed a bizarre message on the LCD

Well it turned out that the film advance had jammed and I had to take out the film to clear it... taking out the battery or anything wouldn't work. It only happened twice and each time was me being stupid.

Anyways that was the only time I had to look for some sort of answer ... everything else on that camera is super easy to understand
 
The Black Natura seems to underexpose, so it is necessary to adjust the exposure +1 each time with print film. Others have posted the same comment.

Maybe it's because of the subjects I shoot, but I haven't really noted any need to adjust the exposure compensation on mine at all.

EDIT: I'll have to try more indoor/lower-light shots and see if I notice my camera doing this.

Try these guys at the fine Fuji A/S (warranty/ non warranty afterservice) shop in Seoul, Korea. Email: ha97ppy@unitel.co.kr. It's a long shot, but they are superb technicians and cheap.

I want one from an EU supplier.

Does anybody know who might have stock of a Natura S Aqua?

I've tried the usual suspects but drawn a blank.

Target price delivered with tax is €250.

Natura film would be nice too, but not essential.
 
You can also try Map Camera in Tokyo. They have an English language option on their website, will ship outside Japan, and when I checked last spring they had the best price for the Natura S f1.9 Black -- in the neighborhood of US$235.
