Fuji Neopan 400 @ 3200

Hello there. I have a low light concert coming up, and for lack of time to get 1600 or 3200 speed film I'm stuck with my Neopan 400 and Tri-x and would like to push them to 3200.

I develop in Ilford LC-29 and on the 'massive dev chart' it tells me to develop it like this which I have been doing when shooting at 400:

Neopan 400 Ilfotec LC29 1+19 - 400 - 6min - 20C.

Now if I am pushing this film to 3200, what sort of time would I be using to develop? (I have never pushed/pulled a film before) Is it an exact science?

It looks like only 400 is the recomeded speed with your developer.
Looking at other developers that show [pushing] times... a 20-25% increase per doubling the ISO seems standard. IF, the developer does not exhaust before the time is up.

So if ISO 400 = 8min, ISO 800 = about 10min, ISO 1600 = about 12mim, ISO 3200 = about 15min

But, I would use a developer that has times for different ISO for the same film.

Can you get a different developer in time that is made for pushing?

Being in New Zealand, the only developer I can find for sale is LC-29.
So I can't push with LC-29? Bummer.

hi, not really related to pushing 400, but i did
do a concert 2 years ago with neopan 1600 pushed to 6400,
in xtol. this was relatively low-light situation.
Rocky Horror Picture show.

this is neopan 1600 pushed to 6400. developed in Xtol in 1+1 dilution.
contax g2 with 90mm lens.

your lens selection may have an impact on your film speed due to focal length/hand-held stability.

Being in New Zealand, the only developer I can find for sale is LC-29.
Really? I can get LC29, ID-11, TMax, Xtol & D76 pretty easily. They might have to be ordered in (2-3 days away), but they are available.

I'd get some Xtol or Tmax developer and drop the Neopan 400, using only the TriX.

I have pushed both and Neopan pushes much less well than the TriX.
