Fuji Senior Product Manager talks about X-Pro2 and Medium Format

In short, they confirm there is some work on medium format digital (research and testing sensors).
 
Fujifilm already are part of one of the two remaining major medium format players (Hasselblad/Imacon/Fuji - the other being PhaseONE/Leaf/Mamiya/Schneider). It is quite inevitable that they are doing medium format R&D. The question is whether they will return to market it under their own brand - this will probably depend more on Hasselblad (who in recent years appear to lack any discernible direction other than towards chaos and decadence) than on Fujifilm...
 
Even though I'm not in the market for a medium format digital camera...given the genes they have from their film days in the medium format arena, I'm sure it will have more decisive direction that what is happening at Hasselblad right...

The Pentax 645Z sells more units than Hasselblad and Phase combined. Sony makes sensors for Phase, Blad and Pentax now so you have to count them too.
