Just grabbed up a Fuji 210, Amazon has them on sale right now for 58$!
I've been wanting to grab one of these for fun, just couldn't stomach the 100$+ price tag of a new unit. The Instax film is very affordable, I picked up a 2pack for 12$.
Here's to indulging a little in silly things, for the sake of fun!
Can't wait for them to arrive this week.

Darn you! I did not need one of these, but that was at the $100 price tag. Now, I need one.
Luckily, I am single and have no one to answer to except myself. And I approve this purchase.
Thanks for the heads up!

I wonder if the price drop on the wide means THEY ARE FINALLY COMING OUT WITH A NEW MODEL????

Possibly, would it be to much to ask for a b&w instax?

Halfway into my first pack, here are my first impressions.
VF, I mean its a viewfinder, framing is as good as any disposable camera, maybe a little worse.
Exposure control is actually ok, although even in the darken mode, it still seems to overexpose in good sun. I really like the focus control, super simple. Build quality is most similiar to that of a Lomo, cheap.
The Instax film I have is expired (Dec13') but it still shows very nice color, although again, in good sun the camera tends to overexpose. Overall I'm impressed, I've been having good fun. The girlfriend loves the small instant prints, I can see her taking this one over and possibly growing an interest in photography.
I fully reccomend this camera for children, hip teenagers, and grumpy old men alike. I wouldn't pay more than 60$, and it would be a even better deal at 40$ but being one of only a handful of options available new, I think its worth the money spent for some good family fun, parties, and bit careless shooting.
I'll tty and post some photos after the weekend

My sister in Law has been using one for a while, she is an artist and specialises in lino prints, photography is not her thing but loves this camera

After using this camera for an afternoon, coming from a photographer, the worst part of this camera is its viewfinder. Framing is horrible, and I think I may need a bubble level
But in all seriousness, there is that polaroid magic, and the prints are perfectly mediocre.
I'm glad I added this one to my bag, if just for fun, that's reason enough.

Regarding the framing issues, for compensating for parallax error when doing close-ups, there's an accessory CU lens that snaps over the camera's main lens and includes a plastic protrusion that is intended to be used as a framing guide (this lens comes with the 210 kit, but may be hard to find separate). You look through the VF and adjust your sighting so the tip of the protrusion is centered in the VF, subjects close to the lens will be better centered.
For subjects further than a true CU but closer than "infinity," I will adjust my framing a bit to compensate, no different than using any mid-1970's Japanese compact viewfinder camera or older rangefinder without parallax compensation.
Regarding the over-exposure, try rigging an ND filter over the camera's taking lens.

How does the quality compare to an FP100C image?
I'd forgive the lack of FP3000B if I can get some BW instax

.....no b&w instax, sadly.
Quality of the color instax film is rather good. Due to the plastic lenses of the cameras, it is however limited.

I got mine last night - I think this above quote captures it well, lol. Took a few indoor pics, low light is definitely not it's forte. But with flash set at its lowest setting (med setting overexposed light skin) I was able to take a couple of selfies with my wife that were decently sharp and decently exposed.
The little clip on piece for close up shots actually has a little mirror in it for selfies - if you look into the mirror, your eyes are looking at the lens in the photo. If you look at the lens, your eyes will be looking off to the side in the photo. And no, I am not a big fan of selfies and did not post it on FB, but in low light there aren't many other shots that the 210 works for, lol.

If you have a 4x5 camera, throw some sheets of the film through it. The plastic lens is definitely the weak link. 800ASA in a Speed Graphic is a neat thing!

Lomo makes an Instax Wide adapter back for their MF folder camera, with a hand-cranked processor. Too bad they don't make a 4x5 adapter back, that would be sweet.
