I am gradually learning my bargain basement new X-Pro 1 / 27mm .

I know it's classed as mirrorless , but it just does not seem to belong in that category . It's so different from my Panasonic G1 or now retired Samung NX 1000 .

It's either like a rangefinder [ de-ranged finder ? ] or a large fixed lens 35mm such as the Yashica Electro 35 .

Odd -I am not certain what compare to compare with this older 16mp camera ... not that I care !

Think of of this way. The X-Pro 1 is a virtual R.F. It simulates using a RF camera. It is possible to use this camera as one uses an optical RF camera. The X-Pro 1 is also a mirrorless camera.

Just because it is cooler than other mirrorless cameras doesn't mean it is not a mirrorless! ;)

I guess so , it's a cool mirrorless !
There is nothing quite like Fuji cameras - I even have a Fuji XF1 compact with zoom marked in 'old ' money ' translated into 35mm .
I guess that did not work for later generations , so I got it cheap , new ... now it seems extortionate compared with the X-Pro 1 !!

Being an SLR user , I was tempted by the Fuji with ' pentaprism ' style , but am wholly taken with the X-Pro 1 .
It's mind blowing having the opportunity of an affordable camera / lens combination to rival my M8 / CV 35 f2.5 [ and beyond ... ? ]

It's great to learn you are getting on well with your X-Pro 1. I must say I enjoyed mine. I sold it to KEH some time ago and now have X100T. I enjoy the X100T very much for the same reasons I liked the X-Pro 1.
