Fuji X-Pro1 focussing issue with 14mm lens

When I mount the 14mm Fuji lens on the body of the camera, the camera automatically selects manual focus mode and I can't change it. With other lenses this problem does not occur. Does anyone have an idea what could cause this problem? Many thanks for your feedback.

I read somewhere that the 14mm only works with the latest firmware.

Thanks Tom but the camera has the latest firmware (2.03).

It has a clutch type focusing ring to select manual focus or auto focus. Put your fingers on the focusing ring of the lens, and push it forward toward the front of the lens. It should 'snap' into AF mode, and you won't be able to see the distance scale on the lens.
