Sorry if this has been discussed before, am in urgent need of some calming down trying to understand how this camera works! Just bought an X10 but am having some problems with the following:

1.AFC doesn't seem to work when I press shutter 1/2 way, how does it work?

2.How to you activate the image stabilisation? in M,P,S and A mode? Guess its called "advanced anti blur" in this camera?
Regards

Sorry Red...i don;t have one of these but have read a bit about it. The stabilization I know can be set at half shutter or continuous, and I think can even change shutter speed automatically to perform better.

You have quite a little complex but excellent camera there and may have to sink yourself into the manual a bit. I think you might have more luck on the Seriouscompacts site...they have a dedicated x10 discussion forum.

Hope that helps...

Red... With AFC, you should have a + (cross) is the middle of the screen. Pressing shutter half way should select your point of focus. "Advanced anti blur" only works in "EXR" mode.

I have one and love it. Like all these fancy digital menus & settings... This one too makes a bit of hair loss learning it's madness.

1.AFC doesn't seem to work when I press shutter 1/2 way, how does it work?

The 'C' in AF-C stands for continuous autofocus i.e. it doesn't depend upon the shutter button being depressed to function... because it's already functioning (NOTE: this will cause increased battery drain).

2.How to you activate the image stabilisation? in M,P,S and A mode? Guess its called "advanced anti blur" in this camera?

Go to the SET-UP menu, navigate to page 3, and scroll to IS MODE, then select the option that you require.

I hope that this helps. The x10 is a lot of camera in an incredibly small package... I hope that you'll enjoy it.
