I got my Fuji X100S surprisingly early, on the way to a Leica meet up trip up North last weekend. So I added it to my bag and used it in between the Leicas

Here is my review of the camera. I am most impressed. Click on the link to read and see the photos:

I used the camera in a variety of situations, including high iso (3200) and with the WCL.

A couple of tasters:

Lovely set of Photos !
but the rendering though Sharp seems rather 'Cold'
the colors too Cool for my Eye

Now i can cross the x100s off my List of Desires...

Miss Helen, I suggest you don't: this is probably more due to post processing than the camera itself. Loved my X100, might get a X100s in the future.

Or even what film simulation setting Nick was using if he was shooting JPEGs. I've been seeing some luscious colors out of the X100S on the web.

Nick, were these RAW or JPEG? Nice pics, and nice article on your blog.

Thanks Helen. That's my choice, and not the camera. Most reviews I have read complain it's too warm actually. I quite like a cooler look, as I'm used to that using a digital Leica, although I'm still much warmer than many I know.

Ken - thank you. All these were jpegs, with a little, not too much, editing. Mostly in Lightroom. I think I mostly used either the standard film setting in jeg and on some the Pro Neg one (as I was finding standard too warm sometimes!). Please also remember that it is 'grim up North', allegedly.

Lovely image digitalintrigue!

Looks like a nice sharp lens. Nice looking camera. Images are really crisp and clean looking. Wouldn't mind one myself. Finding your FED 2 at the races post was a real treat as well. I've got a few FSU bodies and I like the way those industars render.

thanks for the review, nick. i've had my x100 for 18 months or so, and i finally have learned to get exactly what i want out of it. oh that fuji would make an x100 in 50mm equivalent ...
